Michael
J. Flynn, MS ATC, is the Program Manager at
KC Sports Speed. He earned a BA from Washburn University in 1987 and a Masters
from Ohio University in 1989 in Physical Education specializing in Athletic
Training.
Active in the fields of athletic health and performance since receiving his certification
from the N.A.T.A. in 1988, Mike has been involved in the development and delivery
of the FAST (Functional Agility and Speed Training) Program.
Matt
Cyphers, MS LAT, is the Program Director at KC Sport Speed.
He earned a BS from Emporia State University in 1999 and a Masters
from Emporia State University in 2001 in Health, Physical Education,
and Recreation, specializing in Athletic Training.
Matt has been active in the fields of athletic health and Athletic Training since receiving his certification from the NATABOC in 2000. He has been involved in the delivery of the FAST (Functional Agility and Speed Training) Program and Train-To-Play Programs through Rebound Sports Performance in Topeka, KS since 2003.

The Jump Training program advances performance for the jumping athlete. Train to Play
Train to Play is a group-conditioning program designed to be more sport specific and improve athleticism. All team sports require the ability to get from a starting point to any and all other points on the field or court. In sports, this action involves 4 steps:
1. Hand, eye & foot coordination to react to the environment
2. Acceleration
3. Getting through or around opponents
4. Deceleration
Based on this idea, each Train to Play training session involves these four components with constant movement and varying intensities! Conditioning that looks like the game!!
